School-enterprise cooperation adorable shoots practice base fruits
On June 19, the 30th-grade students of Class 10, Major in Applied Chemistry at Central South University, led by Professor Liu Kaiyu, visited the practice base of Central South University—Fujian Weidong New Energy Co., Ltd., located in the Yongfeng New District Industrial Park in Longyan. They will be undertaking a one-month internship at the company. Company leaders Bian Yongyan and Chen Xiaoji warmly welcomed their arrival and provided a detailed introduction to the company’s overall situation, its development status, and its vision for the future.
The very next day, the company staff received training and education on pre-service regulations, safety and environmental protection, equipment operation, and other relevant topics. To help them quickly grasp the basic situation and understand their production tasks, they also participated in special training sessions held by the company, including “Safety Training and Education,” “Teamwork,” and “Stress Management.” In addition, they engaged in hands-on practice at the technology center, production workshop, and process flow areas. During their internship, the company further organized a visit to Gutian—the cradle of the Red Revolution—where they were exposed to revolutionary traditions, patriotic education, and training aimed at fostering a spirit of hard work and perseverance. This experience helped them realize that even under work pressure and challenging environmental conditions, they should maintain a positive and optimistic attitude, remain enthusiastic about their work, and demonstrate a relentless commitment to research and innovation.
Although the practice period is not long, it has a positive impact on students’ future life and work, helping them become more aware of their professional strengths. Among them, 10 students even took the initiative to express their intention to join the company after graduation.
