On the morning of November 2, 2012, Hong Jie, Vice Governor of Fujian Province, gave instructions regarding my research work on scientific and technological innovation, accompanied by Zhang, Deputy Secretary-General of the provincial government.

On the morning of November 2, 2012, Hong Jie, Vice Governor of Fujian Province, presided over a meeting on my research work related to scientific and technological innovation. Attending the meeting were Zhang Jin Zhu, Deputy Secretary-General of the Provincial Government; Longyan Mayor Zhang Zhaomin; Vice Mayor Guo Lizhen; as well as officials from municipal departments and the Yongfeng District. At the meeting, Qiu Yixi, Chairman of Fujian Weidong Investment Group, welcomed Vice Governor Hong Jie. The Vice Governor toured the company’s R&D center and production workshop, gaining an in-depth understanding of the firm’s scientific and technological innovation efforts. During the meeting, Chairman Qiu introduced the group’s development and the company’s technological practices and explorations in innovation over recent years.

Leaders at all provincial and municipal levels fully affirmed our innovation efforts. As a new economic growth driver for China’s future, the new energy sector will receive continued support and assistance from the government. We hope that enterprises will seize this major opportunity—bolstered by the central and provincial governments’ emphasis on strengthening scientific and technological innovation—to bolster their teams of scientific and technological personnel, elevate their technological capabilities, and achieve better and faster results. Our Ni-MH batteries are undergoing a transformative shift in the new energy sector, enabling us to enhance our core competitiveness and build renowned Ni-MH battery enterprises.
